Floaters
Flotation is a solid-liquid and liquid-liquid separation process in which suspended matter is recovered by adhering to gas bubbles (usually air), making it lighter than the surrounding medium. The purpose of the Syrup Flotation System is to remove some of the color and suspended matter from the syrup that has undergone decantation (mainly bagasse), contributing to improved sugar quality by reducing color and insoluble residues and improving filterability.
Triniton offers high-performance flotation devices that contribute to improved sugar quality, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and practicality. They consist of a cylindrical carbon steel box with a conical bottom and tangential flow. They have scrapers on their surface to remove floated sludge, a sludge trough, and a box with a syrup outlet.
