Sulfitation System
The main purpose of sulfitation is to eliminate coloring materials from the broth for the production of white sugar, but it also reduces the viscosity of the broth, syrup, pasta, honey, etc., reducing cooking time and improving crystallization.
Triniton offers complete sulfation systems that offer maximum efficiency and reduced wear. The equipment boasts outstanding strength and durability, developed with strict safety and ease of operation criteria.
The Countercurrent Sulfitation Set comprises:
Hopper: sulfur storage;
Dosing Valve or Screw: dosage and feeding of the furnace for burning;
Sulfur Furnace: constructed of carbon steel or cast iron;
Sublimation Box: rectangular or square, constructed of carbon steel sheets with refractory masonry;
Cooling Column: cools the sulfurous gas that leaves the furnace at a high temperature, constructed of AISI 316L stainless steel or carbon steel coated with AISI 316L stainless steel;
Countercurrent Sulfitation Column: direct contact of the SO2, in countercurrent with the juice, providing lower sulfur consumption per ton of sugarcane. Body and trays are made of 316L stainless steel;
Multi-jet: nozzles that work with the dynamic effect of the juice jets passing through the nozzles at high speeds, mixing the juice with SO2.
The Multi-Jet Sulfitation System aims to replace conventional systems with advantages, such as:
• Greater burning capacity per m² of furnace combustion surface;
• Greater absorption of SO2 by the juice, resulting in lower sulfur consumption and better sugar quality;
• Less maintenance;
• Greater operational ease.
Sulfited Broth Seal Tank: receives the broth from the Multijet and seals and feeds the buffer tank.
